About Armistead Maupin
I've told stories all my life. I did so around campfires when I was a boy in the South, and the drive has never left me. Fifty years ago I found my voice as a writer when I launched a daily serial in the San Francisco Chronicle that over the years has grown into ten Tales of the City novels with an audience of millions around the world.
Most of those readers, of course, I've never had the chance to meet. All of them, I'm sure, would have rich stories to tell me about their own connection to the family at 28 Barbary Lane. I would enjoy having such an exchange in my twilight years, so my husband Chris has set this up and signed on as videographer and co-conspirator.
