Hello and welcome!
Letters and loaves stitch us together, and I like to explore how are we connected with food, and to each other.
This project grew from my book, THE NEW BREAD BASKET, which profiled people working in grains. Though the title sounds like a cookbook, there’s only one recipe, for pancakes. The stories I gathered present blueprints for changing the way grains are grown, milled and malted.
I live in Troy, New York, and love to create bridges between ideas and people through food and words.
