ARF launched on the 16th of June in 2022, and it was initially just a move of my blog from self-hosted to Substack. As I began researching and writing history articles, ARF started to grow quickly. I then made the decision to move tutorial type content back to self-hosting, and make a more concerted effort at professionalism in my history coverage. ARF began paid-subscriptions due to the financial pressures of my wife’s kidney transplant.
